no DVD for Alive 2007

the special edition comes with a DVD of one live track, so it was obviously filmed. probably won't be released on DVD until next year if whenever.

never was much of daft punk fan but this album kicks ass.

i'll admit that a lot of their music is catchy as all hell but i can't really respect them at ALL because of the fact that they rip of 80% of their grooves from old stuff/// i HATE THAT!

will you people please get over that? it's not like all of discovery was sampled, and from human after all only 1 (one) track has a sample. even if the "groove" of a track is from a sample that doesn't take merit from the craft of putting together a composition, that is a lot more difficult than creating a "groove". anyone can create a catchy riff or whatever.

it's a soundboard recording of the show they did in Mexico city. so the quality is very good (although i feel the mix sounds poor, it didin't sound poor there tho.).

Once you get this album, there is no need for any bootleg ya know. It's the same setlist.

Have you seen the one live video though? It's incredible. I get choked up considering that while all these shot were being filmed, I was somewhere in that same crowd enjoying the same spectacle.

i know what you mean. i am indifferent to some of the music, and like more, but it really is the greatest show on earth at the moment.

Yeah it was an amazing experience, up par with seeing Pink Floyd in 1994. They sorta shared the same type of visual experience.

Anyway, I hate listening to pristine soundboard for live shows. My favorite bootlegs (say from Bob Dylan especially) are warm audience boots. Most of the pre-FM or soundboards are anyway not the true sound you would hear from the speakers. They are from many different sources, from stage PA's to a specific artist' headphone, a dry mastering loop to the mixboard, etc...

So gimme the real CD with a true show ambiance, which means the crowd too. Like Minimum-Maximum, it wouldn't work without the crowd.
