there's some good things about this track, but the drum kit sounds really cheesy. if you could rework it to sound like "live" drums, it'd be a lot better. reminds me of "the books".

also the guitar sounds like he's playing the beginning of "fight fire with fire" by metallica, which is not a criticism i guess

sampled yes... i usually lay drums out with 707 samples then replace them later but they grew on me in this track after some fine tuning.... I just finished redoing them with some acoustic samples that i tweaked to my liking and agree it's much better.

ok, beginning reminds insstantly of blackbird by the beatles. the beats come in freshly, me likes. get a little too repetitive then. would've expected some synths on top, a new chord progression, something. the production side i dig pretty much, love the sounds used. liked the vibe but found it harmonically too simple & repetitive (and for that matter, too long).
