dumb question

so I've done a mix in ableton and I want to render it. question is: what sampling rate and what bit-deepness (I don't know what it is in English, 16, 24, 32, you get it) do I have to take to get a 320 kbit/s file??

Don't entirle understand your question, but I always go for a good compromise between size and quality.

44.1khz

256kbps

... for mp3

I always use 44.1 and 32-bit float for WAVs if I don't want any quality loss, kind of to keep as a lossless copy somewhere.

thanks josso. I see the problem of my post (confusion between wav and mp3) that should've solved the problem though!

I haven't finished it yet.. it's a drum & bass mix. If you want to I'll upload it once I'm done!

render to 44.1 - 16 bit.

open in .wav editor.

save as mp3.,

choose bitrate.
