improvisational collaboration

some friends and i got together and played around a bit today...

we warmed up together.... two of us with beat machines, synths and sequencers and the third with a viola, violin and cello. once we got a simple drum loop (combined, the timing was BRUTAL) we took this in our first take, all making modifications and adding elements as we went along.

we made a bunch more, but those files are too big to attach.

there are definitely lots of mistakes, and it was basically recorded on a handheld field recorder... but, it was really fun, and i thought i'd share.

interesting, seems kinda of un-focused (obviously). i like it.

Interesting mixture. Great beat samples as they're kinda muddy and deep and I can't get enough of cellos.
