Speedy J's 1st LA appearance at the Droid 4-Year was one of the most

talked-about techno events of 2006. Jochem returns with highly acclaimed

visualist Scott Pagano for another dose of cutting-edge electronic performance.

Starting out as a hip-hop DJ/producer in the late 80s, Jochem Paap

(Speedy J) entered techno on Richie Hawtin & John Acquaviva's untouchable Plus8.

An impeccable producer and performer, Jochem Paap left hip-hop and

turntables in 1990 to join the techno elite on Hawtin/Aqcquaviva's

untouchable Plus8 label and the electronic pioneer Warp Records.

After a number of landmark releases and ripping the techno playbook to

shreds with his sound puzzles for Novamute, Speedy J returned to the

dancefloor with 2002's Loudboxer opus and his recent "Collabs" series.

His recent efforts have centered around a 5.1 audiovisual platform

with visual artist Scott Pagano, Umfeld. http://www.umfeld.tv/
