Clark - Throttle Promoter

wow that first track practically exploded my eardrums. I don't like the first one. But Dirty Pixie is awesome. They are streaming it on the warp website. They don't have it for sale on hard copy though as of this moment. Kin Griff is also sweet. I am not sure about the last track yet. They weren't joking when they said this is going to be a "ravier" Clark.

i'm wondering if it will see a physical release. if so, i will probably hold of on buying it. i guess the "D" in the catalog number means probably not.

if i had headphones here at work i would listen to the previews. i assume this is the dancey shit

This was nice news when I got home after a shit day. Only just downloaded, but I like it so far. Wonder how many of these tracks are actually on the album?

I just woke up, and checked my email and was greeted with this wonderful surprise! Can't wait to hear it!

Carestick, looking at Clarks previous EP / LP correlation, there is probably 1 song on the EP thats on the album.

in its own simple way

eager to see what dragon will be all about

(hope I didn't just buy 4 tracks from the album)

though it seems his lps have alll for the most part had slightly differnet versions of

songs from the preceding eps

Also, whole his EPs always resemble his albums, they are never perfect images. The EP's are good, but I find his album material to be much better.

listened through twice... and my opinion of clark remains unchanged...

he has has delivered some massive tracks (inc. herzog, the kitchen sink remix) that make me have such high expectations for his music, that i find myself constantly disappointed. still, i think what he puts out is better than most other shite out being put out of late... and this EP is no exception.

i'd say, though, that i disagree (so far, anyway, but things always change after a bunch of listens) about dirty pixie. its definitely rave-ish (which is a good thing, maybe because i'm a nostalgic fellow)... but really, not a whole lot happens in that track. if you like the first bit, you'll like it all... the filtered percussion changes are ok, but not amazing.

Gaskarth/Cyrk Dedication (Tape) is probably the best track... very subtle... but with some pretty interesting sections. then i like see see... just kind of a fun little track.. good enough for this EP and this EP certain confirms that i won't wait to buy the album once its available.

still, as a goal, people should try to make music that is better than clark's music...

Hehe, I love how his wav forms are just giant blocks from start to finish. I think the overcompressed thing works for him, though I am fond of his older, more dynamic mixes from Ceramics and Empty the Bones of You. But I dig the brick wall too, when it's well constructed.
