whats the big deal?

you took a little stab at my music, so i took a little stab at yours...

yeah, it might have been a little blunt. it was honest though, sorry.

and no, i don't talk to everyone in the music world like that. i usually have respect for people.

i'm liking the resonant bells here and the overall tone of the track is great. i'm not much a fan of the vocal samples... but thats just a stylistic opinion.

i'm certain you could do a bunch more variation to the musical elements you have here and make something pretty serious... but i've read earlier in this somewhat tense thread that you didn't spend much time on the track...

nice work!

heh, well, at least you understood that it was a stab at your music. i thought it may have been too abstract. congrats!

i am also a huge fan of bill hicks. the quote i posted above was from him. i suppose it was a case of me being uneccessarily protective. since i personally didn't care for the track, the quote seemed to apply. i realize now that i shouldn't have said anything, and i apologize.

we all have different tastes, and that's what makes us beautiful. at least i can respect our common interest in hicks.

that's one thing i truly don't care for about the internet, and i am guilty of it as well; it's far too easy to say really harsh things without thinking twice about it.

just keep doin' what you love, don't let anyones opinions stop you.

thanks man. it just stared out with two synths and some reverb, 808 and 909 drums, a little jam sort of thing. something to trip out to.

then the bill hicks samples gave it some life. i picture bill rhyming with the "young man on acid" part, i like it ,maybe i'm biased though, maybe it sounds bad...

the purpose of this track was to make some more simple. i might mess around with it again...

yeah, i agree. "email" "chatting" "message boarding" has always felt weird to me in general. i might have interpeted your response differently if we had been face to face, you know?

like you said, everyone has different tastes. and i think everyone listens to music in a different way. i'm sorry for bashing your music. i let anger get the better of me sometimes. and as you know, music can be a very personal thing, and it can be easy at times to get defensive about it.

glad we got to clear this up, hope all is well! :D
