Guest goodwillsidis
Unfortunately, I cannot help you with your problem. However, I'd love to know what you think of the RS7000. I'm looking for a new sampler and it's a toss up between the ASR-X Pro and the RS7000. I've heard some people bitch about the interface on the RS7K, but I have a deep affection for my RY-30, so I'm not sure if such bitches apply to me. enki
Isn't it possible to save RS7000 sequences as Standard MIDI Files directly to a CF card? Wouldn't it be easier and more reliable to transfer the sequences that way? Or are you trying to record some kind of live jam? What kind of MIDI interface are you using? Using MOTU hardware with DP is supposed to provide much tighter MIDI timing, although I can't verify that... enki
One last idea and then I'm out.. Perhaps a ton of extraneous MIDI data is being recorded into DP, like a bunch of SYSEX information or something like that. I could see that bogging things down on playback. If there is an input filter, I'd try filtering out everything except for what you need (notes, CCs, midi clock, etc.) and see if that doesn't make a difference.
