i build it around this drum pattern. I'm quite happy with use of SH - 101 bass..

I think the drums are to loud against everything else. Have the bass line fade in louder and louder throughout the song. Though I do really like the drum pattern throughout, and the ambient textures in the background are very interesting. The ambient parts at the end are very nice too, I think.

Kicking track, got a nice attitude. The bass should be abit louder imho. Great stuff, pads are brill. Varied, good theme. your sound production in general sounds very original, warm and not computery at all.

I use grado sr60 earphones, so sometimes I forget to boost basses.

00:10 nice bass and great drums and pads

00:12 bass tails off a bit strangely

00:22 nice pads and whirly things

00:32 great drums all the way through

00:59 quiter bit

01:12 nice hat pattern

01:18 bass comes back with some mod wheel and a nice melody

01:38 nice melody again

01:55 another breakdown and break .. er ... up

02:27 ahhh voices also joining in

really liked the drum patterns and production - the drums made me think of fenix funk, and the whole thing was quite analordy. But a bit brighter than most analord tracks

you said you built it around the drum pattern, and to my ears this kindof shows - although the musical elements (the bass, the pads, the whirly things) are nice, there isn't much musical progression apart from things going away and coming back. the bass in the middle of the track evolves quite nicely but for the track to really get under my skin it would need more melodic progression and key changes and stuff like that

The thing you noticed about musical progression, it's true.

The track begins, get's it's thing going, but then it just revolves around that bass melody with

some ambient tunes and mod whell turning. I thought of that as a lack of structure.

Maybe it's better to use the pattern for some ideas with grater posibillity to evolve.

really liking this track. i have to agree with most in that the bass needs a bit more punch/volume. Great work with the drums they evolve quite nicely in their dynamic surroundings. SOlid structure as well and a nice warm production of fuzzy goodness.
