Pretty fun program, I like the modular synth wannabe thing called thor, here's what I've come up with in my day to day doodling. http://media.putfile.com/People-Power-Party---Down-With-PPP ballsy synth house mania some nice flourishes i also like the 2xclap nice swirly sort of thing towards the end reminds me of some boc track one very important thought, i think Derelic7 said: http://media.putfile.com/People-Power-Party---Lovers-Suite jazzy synth melody thing with fun bass i like the different drumkits on display nice touch with the acoustic guitar the kick that sounds like a frog awesome Derelic7 said: http://media.putfile.com/People-Power-Party-Festivus ambient shoegaze techno kinda puts me in mind of early orbital maybe switch up the beats a little bit Derelic7 said: http://media.putfile.com/People-Power-Part...Srebrenica-1995 dark downtempo ambient acid-ey minimalism the swells accentuate whatever instrument that is the texture is just complemented by the swelling kinda like a penis i like the lead you use and the arpeggiation on it and the filtering, sounds like a real talkbox or a jew's harp this surprised me by being my favorite of the bunch Derelic7 said: http://media.putfile.com/Trevliga-tankar little electronic music melody thing i don't see much that's particularly electronic music about this it does recall aphex twin subtly... kinda is more like smooth jazz Derelic7 said: http://media.putfile.com/They-Never-Caught-Him BOC inspired electronic music now this is a lot more electronic music and obviously boc influenced i like the modulation on the lead the stabs in the second half really work, imo does have a sort of dark undercurrent, evocative like the title Derelic7 said: http://media.putfile.com/PPP-Disengage old school techno the drums coming in really lights a fire under the lead you seem to have a good sense for how to build a track Derelic7 said: Cheers! Edited January 3, 2008 by tht! tne Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/29577-batch-of-awesome-trackage/#findComment-625779 Share on other sites

chim
tht! tne: Thanks for the extensive reply, I really appreciate it. You've brought up some very valid points about the tracks, the dark downtempo one is probably my favourite too. I get what you mean with the swelling sound, awesome metaphor by the way. I like how you interpreted the TNCH song in association with the title, that's exactly the kind of mood I was going for. I was mainly inspired by sunshine recorder in that regard.. it was used in some crime documentary by BBC I think, with a fraud guy that appropriately never was caught, can't get that connection out of my head.
