Prepared this jam in a day and spent about 10 minutes practicing it to get some ideas for performance down, before recording. Mostly it's improv. Ending could have been better and the overall structure isn't too great. But I'm happy with the patterns themselves.

Equipment used: Korg ES-1 mkii, ER-1 mkii, EA-1 mkii, Boss DR-3, ME-50, Behringer Xenyx 802. No software used besides goldwave for recording audio.

I dunno what kind of comments I'm looking for, whateva.

I have watched your other electribe jams and I enjoyed those much more than this one. The string synth chords and bass sound like they are presets. Same with a few of the drum sounds. Try to really make your own unique sounds. That said, I really liked the part that came in around 1:25. And some of the drum tweak work was pretty cool. And when you heavily reverbed that part I said I liked it was cool too. Keep working though.

Out of curiosity, what are you using that Boss Pedal board for? Are you using it as a multi-effects box for all your gear?

Edit: Looking back, I like your cover of I'm Self Employed and "Unexpected Interference" best. Even though both are a little long and need to be developed more. But really cool sounds in those two.

Thanks for watching my stuff!

I didn't really notice anything sounding too preset. I actually was trying to avoid anything too weird, trying to get more traditional basic elements of a style of music. That's not to say I succeeded nor that it couldn't have been any more original without deviating from my goal. Hell, I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore. It might have been a bad idea to post this here, too many of you guys are too good at making music :p

Yeah the unit is in the aux on my mixer. I use it for reverb and delay in this vid. (see video description)

Edit: I don't really like unexpected interference at all. Replace that with Gentle Giant and you have my opinion.

Metal electronic music \m/

Haha j/k man. Good performance all in all. Live recording carries alot of energy, there's alot of that to your tracks.

This one in particular doesn't stand out too much to me, but there's some good counterpoint and melodies. Like Rook said, abit too preset-y, I'm not going to say presets are bad but the ones you used sound corny in a way that degrades the track. I think mainly the synth string stabs contributes to that, sound like cheesy 90's RNB pop. The distorted lead later on lifts the track.

It is way to long really, but that's a tendency I had with live recording too, you get stuck in the mood sorta. But I can't listen for 9 minutes to this track when the whole idea has been set up in 3:15. Bring some of the ideas into the 3-4 minute frame, or make some drastic changes, bring in the filtering and echo tweaking much earlier. Cheerio.
