drum vst idea

a program for playing live or at least a vst you could fool about in realtime for recording purposes. it plays a breakbeat , sample or midi? you hit a button and it rearranges it, break up the break. if your playing live and it's not crowd friendly you could press undo and it would resort back to the original break or the one before it. or you could hit rearrange again and with luck rearrange into other coolness.

it's not really like glitch vst is it? this is a very simple idea and i got the idea watch an afx youtube video.

he seems to do alot of gabba with awesome breaks that just keep going, like they could be programmed but i think there's more to it.

is this like the glitch vst? has it been done? if not, someone should attempt making a vst like this.

just thinking, you should be able to put these randomization in a memory bank... 20, and then be able to custom colour them.

Have you seen any of those reaktor wavetable exile type break machines where you can trigger different parts of the loop with your computer keyboard and it quantizes real time and you if you like something you have done you can hit record and it will repeat it, otherwise it goes back to the default break?

There are a bunch of variations of the same type of thing spread through out the reaktor user library.

that shit's greek to me. yeah it's kinda right, does exile play with that live, looks like a studio only thing.

Its very much a live thing but can be applied to your studio if you know how to record audio.

theres a good reaktor instrument that comes w/ reaktor 5 that was actually made by tim exile - its called vectory. its pretty good for ripping apart any samples on the fly but it's definitely geared at breakbeats.
