Guest LJG
So I'm wondering about a VA sequencer- a board with lots of knobs for controlling steps, length, pitch, repetitions, etc. Very much like the humongous voltage control sequencers, but to control midi synths instead. 1. Is there such a thing, and where can it be found; 2. Is there such a thing as a voltage control to midi converter so I could just use an analog one? (I know there are midi to VC converters, but I don't know if it works the other way 'round. Hope everyone is well. enki
The two Doepfer sequencers--the MAQ16/3 and the Schaltwerk--are probably pretty a bit closer to what you're thinking of than the others listed above. Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/30119-virtual-analog-sequencer/#findComment-638787 Share on other sites
Guest LJG
Word up, thanks guys. This helps. After all I've tried, I cannot ever like software for synth stuff, I know it's cheaper and such, but I'm a hardware junkie. I've accepted this, but still want to do it smartly. Cool, I'll look at this stuff for now... further hardware comment is welcome. Guest LJG
Oh yeah, this is what gave me the idea in the first place... maybe not what I would do with it, but the phrase modulation here is excellent. I do have an emx-1, and I've tried to trick it every way I can, but it's those finer points of individual pitch that I want access to... anyway, if you've not yet seen the video, take a peek- that's the control I'm talking about. Thanks for the excellent links! Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/30119-virtual-analog-sequencer/#findComment-639341 Share on other sites
