I'm retarded. I only realised today that Andy Turner had recently still been going under the name of Tura (found 'Bacco', aka 'To' on the Subsidence compilation).

older balil tracks are awesome. don't know about the new track though. someone at xlt posted a snippet of a liveset where they played that new track, but it didn't grab me by the balls.

the other supposedly new tracks from the forthcoming album sounded promising though!

The new Balil remix is forthcoming on a release which also features a remix by Carl Craig. Anyone that likes older-Black Dog will like this remix done by Balil. The CC remix is OK.

Balil is simply the best.

Hopefully we can expect a lot more from the Balil alias in the near future. Too many fantastic tunes for it to be seldomnly used.

That remix has also been available in full on Beatport for a while now.

Someone was kind enough to upload the hard to find (high quality) Balil track "Island Praise/Paradise" (not sure at the moment which name is right). Evidently this is a rip from the original master DAT!! More info + Parasight EP here.

It also seems as if that recent Balil remix is turning heads. Supposedly DJ Sasha has been playing it out live constantly this year and I've found some nice words from him here and here plus an audio interview. (fast-forward to ~31:25)
