The guys bump into the legendary Herman Gillis who unwraps his latest prototype DJ FX station, the Restyler. It's so new it doesn't even have full size knobs yet...But it's worth taking a quick peak before Herman tapes up the bubble wrap and disappears back into the shadows. Nice!!

So it's a multi band compressor with 12/24 db filter with two independent notches. Lo pass, band, and highpass. L.e.d.'s that change color, quick bypass for stuttering effects. Watch the vid. Pretty rad. He said around 500 Euros. However no midi? It's still badass but midi controllable/automated would be the jam. Has distortion pre and post filter I believe he was saying.

Google gave me "500 Euros = 779.7 U.S. dollars". I bet its worth it. Should add midi though.

too bad the interviewer is so dumb.

tha machine's looking good though. i believe the distortion/clipping occurs between the two filter stages - that would be after the first 2 poles.

aaahhh finally there it is. herman rules. i'll buy one on the day it comes out (tho i'm not so sure about the product name)

now, if he would finally finish his chaos bank and take that into production also, a huge huge machine with all kinds of chaotic oscillators, clipping filters and weird shit all around(couldnt find a pic so heres a prototype filterbank instead)
