my new techno project with mates

basically me and some mates, particularly a latino guy and a jazz musician, we're doing this electro style project called Kompakt Duo

the basic elements are a basic heavy bass/kick element foundation with spacious pads and melodies with jazz, electronic music and dark ambient influences.

daft punk gets into a fight with lustmord and aphex, an intelligent way to start the party.

right now we're using reason but we're going to be incorporating ableton, cubase and recording voice/instruments etc

Hahaha, yeah, i know, but it's me and the latino guy that's doing the bulk essentially. It started with the idea of combining my production skills and electronic music fetish with his sense of rythm and electro fetish. It ends up in some sort of middle ground. there's 2 others involved, but on a less serious basis, so for now it's a duo. Then again, the compact quartet sounds pretty wicked! Or we'll go with "the <insert noun>s". Just placeholders for now.

Got a session coming up tomorrow so hopefully there'll be more sound things in here.
