just some of my stuff

hi all, it's been awhile since i posted on this forum.

i've been messing around and wrote a few tracks this year:

i'm going to invest in some analog equipment in the future and probably get some more software...

i'm kind of a noob to all of this, but i love a lot of electronic music to death, so criticism would probably be helpful.

tube: didn't really strike a chord with me, though some interesting techniques were used.

rotts boredom: i guess this one won me over. you seem to have an idiosyncratic style that rewards close listening.

please query my capsicum: this was only interesting structurally to me. well and timbrally i suppose. it certainly doesn't sound much like anything i've heard before, though i have "razor-thin eclectic tastes."

sucking on your feathers: i liked the immediate beginning of this, but then i lost faith in the beatfuckery. i did enjoy some parts of this though. i liked the weird voice; it reminded me of the man from another place from twin peaks. post-2:00 was the best part of this track imo.

i am daniel rotting away: i kinda liked this in spite of myself. it's structurally very simple, but i'm a sucker for a retriggered vocal sample. also the snare hit in this sounded kinda slappy, like the snare on one of autechre's early songs (i forget the name, can't be arsed looking it up.)

inhale ratio: nice title. the actual music was a little thin and basic for me. i'm confident that you could do better. however, if this track satisfies you, far be it from me to knock it.

overall, i like what you're doing

nah, not harsh, i've been writing music for a few years but electronic music for not that long.

inhale ratio was one of the first songs i wrote for tube, and i'm still not sure how i feel about it.

also i definitely have to find that autechre song now; will probably do a run-through their albums tomorrow. (can't get enough of teh basscadet)

i think i remembered it a bit differently from how it actually sounds
