The beginning of Into The Light is awesome until it hits the 1:04 mark where it kind of falls apart due to the reverb being so overkill.

Boq3 suffers the same fate, however it works pretty goddamn well with everything else and sounds groovy.

Mew is well-done (love the abrupt cut off), although I don't like it myself.

I love Terrmni - it's the best you've got on there until it starts to glitch and the reverb starts to irritate again.

Ooh... Dtrp is perfect.

Dtrp > Terrmni (start of) > Boq3 > Terrmni (rest of) > Into The Light > Mew

I'd say cut down on such a large amount of reverb for tracks Terrmni to Into the Light ... but that seems to be your intentions so it's probably just not my taste for percussion to blur together.

All in all, good production!

I think it would sound a lot different if we had some decent quality mp3s, otherwise yeah the reverb destroys the myspace player. We get the jist though, and i like it! Quite fond of the melodies you use.

thanks for listening, the myspace player is fucked is makes the music sound half the quility of what it is. i think Boq3 iss my best track tbh

Ah good. I never liked the looks of Myspace, the player seemed a bit dodgy. If the reverb doesn't seem so bad out of Myspace then it's all good stuff mate. :wink2:

Guest tht! tne

into the light: this has a kind of cocteau twins thing going for it in the first minute or so. i find the drums kinda noisy, though maybe someone else would consider them virtuosic. i don't find the reverb distracting or incompatible with the myspace player but i'm not an audiophile. i think this would work best as a release's final track.

boq3: i like the way this is starting out. some interesting placements of the timestretch. gets kind of cluttered around 1:00. i'm starting to feel like your melodies are a bit too too. i don't really know how to describe them, maybe "touchy-feely?" it makes for an interesting contrast, and i haven't heard this style done to death, but it doesn't really get me off.

mew: i want to be in support of this track, but to me it feels like glitch for the sake of glitch. i've been guilty of that before, though. wouldn't want to deter you from doing what you love. i do like the wall-of-sound-type aesthetic that shines through a few times in the track. and some of the glitch effects are evocative and trippy.

terrmni: this was a bit too spacy for me. not enough going on, really. i like when it starts to glitch, but it glitches in a borderline-obnoxious way like some early venetian snares. i feel like producers really have to put forth a strong melody to support glitch like that. otherwise it just comes off as noise, and even though you may be producing only for your own satisfaction, when you share you have to think about entertaining and not alienating the listener. what i do like about the track is that it has a big sound. maybe that's the reverb. the glitches do describe some interesting figures impressionistically.

dtrp: this one starts out in a comfortable groove, easy to listen to. i like where it goes around 0:25 but i think you kinda overstated the glitch. i like the percussive elements of the lead. i'd be interested to observe your programming techniques. i don't know exactly how to say this but do you build a normal track first and then glitch it out? or do you program the glitches in as you go. either way this is still an impressive track.

overall i'd say you have considerable talent

if i heard these tracks at a party i probably wouldn't buy

but there's always a market for any kind of music
