Rubens - The Wickerman Festival

Rubens will play the Solus Tent at this years Wickerman Festival.

The festival takes place on the 25th and 26th July at East Kirkcarswell near Dundrennan, South West Scotland on the Solway Coast

The festival is in it's seventh year and you can check out the line up so far Here

Rubens will play live with fellow Scottish artists Dextro (Gronland Records, Border Community) on drums and The Lava Experiments (herb recordings) on guitar.

Should be a good un.

i've been to a couple of wickermans... i may go.

if you've not been before beware that security is beyond tight cos of the family friendly angle of the festival.

there seemed to be a rediculous amount of police and sniffer dogs at the gates and you don't see them til the last minute. in ten or more times at glastonbury i had never seen so many police and this is about 1 percent as big.

i had to do a little emergency 'insertion' while driving towards 4 police and a dog waiting to sniff round my car... the heart was going.

mind if you're an artist, you'll probably stroll in no problem.
