Guest telikan
I've heard a lot of people who got the Traveler say that they wouldn't have gotten it if the Ultralite had already been out. The Ultralite can do just about as much, but in a smaller sexier package. In the past year I've had a Motu 896, Presonus Firepod, and now a Focusrite Saffire. I would've stuck with the 896, which really was fantastic, but it was just too big and I was able to sell it for significantly more than I purchased it. The Firepod was shit, and lived up to its name when it started smoking. The Saffire is kind of confusing at first, but the DSP comes in handy and it's a great value in a tiny package. But MOTU ftw always and forever. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/32895-motu-traveler/#findComment-702936 Share on other sites
Guest dildo
i told you A-W,i have an E-MU 1616 and i'm happy*,best price-performance ratio ever IMO. i also have a TC electronic Konnekt 24D,it will be a jewel, but they're still optimizing the drivers. if you can deal with the absence of the ADAT i think that the INDIGO are pretty good *in the meanwhile the audio set-up explodes* Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/32895-motu-traveler/#findComment-703005 Share on other sites
Guest analogue wings
cool. useful replies. thanks doodz! will have a look at the ultralite. i suspect my need to occasionally record an actual band will steer me back to the traveler, but we'll see... dildo said: i told you A-W,i have an E-MU 1616 and i'm happy*,best price-performance ratio ever IMO. i also have a TC electronic Konnekt 24D,it will be a jewel, but they're still optimizing the drivers. yeah sorry if your useful reply was drowned in the jackage of the other thread. i love pre-creative e-mu, (and indeed the proteus chipset in my creaky old sblive) but nowadays i just dont know. they seem to be just a brand creatibve uses in whatever way suits them at the time... will have a look at the TC Electronic. they are Danish or something huh? they have a pretty huge rep. wish me luck finding a New Zealand distributor... Guest dildo
oh no mate, don't be confused by the Craptive logo. it's still a genuine EMU. it's obvious that MOTU are top,but for the same price of an entry level motu, you can have a BUNCH of really good features with the emu. give a look here Sound on Sound Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/32895-motu-traveler/#findComment-703501 Share on other sites
