if i had the extra money

Recommended Posts

Vibert uses one.It has only 1 osc but an interesting wave mixer that can mix together several different waveforms of the same osc, each at different octaves, for some very deep effect. At the end of the day, I would be worried about reliability (it's rather old and probably quiet fragile in certain parts), and lack of connectivity (no MIDI really can be a pain in the ass). The sound is quite nice although not "acidy" like some people expect older Rolands to be.

the SH-1000 is ugly, its capabilities are limited, it's un-intuitive to program, it's a dinosaur! But it's also a classic piece of Roland's history.

and there it is. this seems to be for collectors, not broke-ass musicians.
