last night's work... kind of odd to start... patten builds and takes over the drums... then switches and takes over the drums again.

New to the forum - first post, so I don't know how much my thoughts count... but I liked it. Love that broken up drum stuff. Wish that the drum sounds were a little less acoustic rock drummy and more interesting/treated electronic sounds... and some variations on the type and amount of 'verb would be cool. But maybe that's all for the next revision of this first hit.

Also... wish it lasted longer!

thanks a lot. definitely going to revisit my drum samples in the next stages of this track. this version was just me laying out the idea. now its time to go back and play with the sounds, add envelopes, mix the darn thing....

i agree about the drums, if i remember correctly you normally do really crazy thick sounding almost Amon Tobin-ish type drums(i could be mistaking you for someone else), which would sound good here

i agree with Toy Sun about the drum sounds

so why not use cut-up sampled breakbeats?

i will revisit those drum samples... easy enough (no sampled breaks though, its against my policy).

is the track too repetitive? is electronic music in general too repetitive? (damn, ceephax can write some sweet riffs, but just playing that same riff for 5 minutes bores the shite out of me).

i really like this, maybe it's just cos it's sunday morning but it's exactly what i wanted to hear at this moment in time

the only criticism i could say is echoing what other people said that the drums aren't strong enough

thanks a lot for the listen. its almost unanimous on the drums, so i suppose i've really got to give it some work.
