Noise Synthesis

ok so what's the deal with operators shitty noise oscillator? it sounds like a diesel truck, and you can here the oscilating slow down when you lower the pitch. am i doing something wrong? can someone explain to me what i need to do to be able to synthesize a nice clean noisey static so i can make staticy beats, say, like in vordhosbn? do i need to use a different synth.

also i would like to be able to generate all the noises, you know, like pink and white and red and all that. preferably a plug in that i can use in ableton live. thx

ok so i just figured out that if i use two oscillators with noise waveforms it gets rid of cycling sound, but i still want to know why it does that.
