Guest bontempi
you're right. i was thinking about the ES-1 MKII there are a few more things on the ESX, but don't forget you can get the ES-1 for 100 euros don't be fooled by those tubes. a tube needs much more voltage to be efficient than 9 volts Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/34147-electribe-esx/#findComment-782858 Share on other sites
Guest e440hz
needs more voltage? pssh! I'm no scientist but I hear sweet and crispy overdrive when I crank my esx tubes up! how many volts does it take to power the many electo harmonix pedals that have tubes? Guest Christoph
Noob question: Can someone explain the benefits of having a piece of hardware like this, over using software that does similar things? Is it primarily for live use, for the tactile hands-on experience - or is there anything that this can do that cannot be created inside a computer? This question also stands for all hardware synths, mixers etc. Thanks for your non-abusive answers from a lil' newby. x Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/34147-electribe-esx/#findComment-1004963 Share on other sites
Velazquez
No there'e nothing unique about an esx that can't be done in a computer... yeah it's pretty much for the the tactile experience, I really hate drawing in notes, software holds so many more samples and is infinitely more powerful.
