Guest tht! tne
crocodile17: i like the unusual timing of the guitar. maybe a more resonant kick would suit this. the track (to me) evokes triumph, or nearing the end of a long strange journey. has not just a bit of boc to it, which i like. this track kinda feels like it should be the end of a much longer track. nanamas demo: i like the electric piano figure. the bassline is also very compelling. i think what i'm getting from this track is that maybe it's a bit too minimal; i would try some arpeggiation and complexify the drum programming. but tastefully. it's easy to overdo electronic music drums. Guest Toy Sun
Yeah man, Crocodile 17 is really the coolest thing I've heard on this forum, in the last 2 weeks or so when I started listening. That's the space you gotta operate in.. very original. Love the drums, love the tune. this could be a big track. It stands on it's own, but if you ever put some skinny blonde Swedish singer on it, you'd have a big summer hit... I'm sure! Nice! Guest jay bharadia
Hey Toy Sun, attached is a bootleg of "crocodile 17" with "caravan" by a band called "Husky Rescue" but this was done about a a year and a half ago... Not swedish, but Finnish (I think...) enjoy the track, spread the word, have sex with it in the background... whatever! summer hit eh? I'll light my cigar with a $100* dollar bill now then... *monopoly money. Jay_bharadia___My_shit___caravan2_Rendered.mp3Fetching info... First one sounds like 'Dayvan Cowboy' and has a fairly similar structure. Certainly more poppy than a lot of stuff posted here. Has the potential to be monster with a few little refinements/additions. The guitars do sound very sequenced though and I think some stronger reverb would lessen that effect ... perhaps/perhaps not. I dunno the fact that this seems quite obviously derivative somewhat unsettles me though. However it is very good. I guess the thing is that I can't help but compare this with BOC which I'm not sure is a good thing for your productions. The other track is pretty damn lush too. You certainly seem very capable musically no doubt. Also I think you'd have a wider appeal than just for the headz that reside on WATMM. Overall good stuff. Will keep my ears on your tunes. Guest jay bharadia
Hey chaps who listened! Glad you enjoyed it, it is always good to hear something enjoyable to connect with people. might interest you to know it was finished pre-campfire headphase/dayvan etc just been waiting for an "official" release date from the label, but I just want it out of my system now. promo compared it to dayvan, but if anything I would have compared it to chromakey! with the similar descending guitar, did freak me out when I heard that though to be honest anything downtempo which uses destroyed sounds/analogue synths and crate-found sounding beats is gonna get compared to boc...... I don't mind that at all, but that area does seem to be well covered by copyists :wink1: take it easy, take a listen to the others on the site, might be some more you are into...!
