Guest cakeface
haven't really downloaded much music for a while due to no internet connection at home, but now that i'm up and running i've been quite disappointed with slsk. there seems to be less good music up there than there used to be. what are y'all using these days? dc++ or those torrent thingies wat i don't really understand? mcbpete
I haven't used Slsk for about 2 years, It's flipping rubbish. Torrents are about as hard as melted chocolate. 1. Download Client (google utorrent). 2. Download Torrent. 3. Wait. 4. Listen to music. Guest cakeface
yeah ok but how long would you feasibly have to wait? i've tried several torrents and waited for an hour or so before cancelling them cos they still hadn't started Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/3439-is-slsk-dead/#findComment-69227 Share on other sites

I use moo most of the time and everything is always fantastically seeded. Guest (F)
ya you need to be down with the knowledge and lingo. there needs to be at least 1 Seed (S for short), and multiple Leechers are highly advisable. the more the better. ideal situation: 400 seeds, 4000 leachers. that would be a sweet download. had somethig similar with a call of duty 2 download Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/3439-is-slsk-dead/#findComment-69954 Share on other sites

Guest sippin
slsk far from dead, at least from where i stand. i get tons of music off of it everyday, some nice live efforts, shit like that. i suppose you come out with a bit more if you have priveleges but im too poor to shell out for them. agreein about torrents though, i wiped my music hdd on accident a few weeks back and recovered most of it from torrents within a week or so. let them run overnight or when youre not usin the pc though, they rape resources. cakeface: my slsk is wogwogwog, if you ever use slsk again feel free to browse. let me know who you are from here and ill crank your downlload up to 200k/s (provided you can get that down) Edited January 31, 2006 by sippin Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/3439-is-slsk-dead/#findComment-71023 Share on other sites
