Sam
I remember a couple of years ago listening to Drane2 as an mp3 in itunes and noticing that the track length was 23 mins or so, but that when i burned it and listened to it on my cd player the track was now somewhere between 10-15 mins long. Anyone else ever noticed that? what gives? Sam
So the silent interval doesn't get burned? goonstock
Track 11 ("Drane2") is different from the vinyl version of the release, it contains 12 minutes of silence and an extra piece of music (starting on 21:41). Track length without silence and the "hidden track" is 9:37. CD comes in a completely grey-black frosted jewel case, with 'autechre' (and a faint Compact Disc logo) debossed on the front and 'ae' on the back. Terpentintollwut
I could imagine a program automatically cutting silence at the end/beginning of a track, but in Drane2 it's just a long silent passage followed by some more sounds in the end. How did the track end? Did it fade out slowly and was over or did it still contain the high-frequency-stuff-ending? edit: yeah rocky take my moment away :wink2: but I didn't think of the difference between the versions anyways Edited May 24, 2008 by Terpentintollwut Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/34463-weird-thing-about-drane2-track-length/#findComment-736802 Share on other sites
