Guest greenbank
another new one on my myspace - space worm! it's kind of a mini story - crew in spaceship woken by ships automatics picking up a spaceworm, spaceworm attacks, massive fight ensues, both take damage and limp off at the end. (i couldn't decide who i wanted to win so i made it a draw). it's uhh, sort of mostly jungley i suppose, breaks are think, sesame street, tighten up and 'the worm' (of course, can't miss a cheesy joke!) and all are twisted around each other, bass is a mix of FM and a homemade patch in a virtual modular thingy. http://www.myspace.com/greenbank Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/34485-greenbank-space-worm/ Share on other sites
Guest tht! tne
the riff starting at 1:13 is great and i usually always like breaks the riff starting at 2:34 is also great this track is almost classic do you ever work with vocals? maybe you could for this track Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/34485-greenbank-space-worm/#findComment-737251 Share on other sites
Guest greenbank
i tend to avoid vocals, what do you think would fit this? a mate suggested the same but i could only think that adding some (potentially cheesy) samples of a text-to-speech lady at a couple of points for the 'ships computer' kind of thing would fit. that or some movie samples but i think i'd definitely consider them too cheesy and have trouble making them work! Guest rex sole
Please don't add cheesy text-to-speech vocals to this, it's wicked as it is :) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/34485-greenbank-space-worm/#findComment-737929 Share on other sites
Guest boo
meaty stuff. really good sound. i'd add a high lead of some sort somewhere in the second half. actually, what i was thinking did kind of happen at 1:49, could come back but more upfront/stronger/different, later. it be cool if it went all epic arpeggio a bit at the end. but anyway, it's good as it is.
