Yep, it's pretty damn great, the Disjecta beat drop at the beginning is epic.

edit: funny anecdote, I saw DJ Food several years ago, when it was still P.C. & Strictly Kev(who did the Blechdottir mix), neither of them remembered doing this mix at all, hehehe

Yeah can't wait to hear this.

lol, they must have had fun doing it so with a few helpful tabs :) What better way to mix (well, back then anyway!)

Holy Shit.

snap this up ( and track down the Blech 1 -was cassette only) but is lurking around slsk sometimes...

these two mixes are possibly the best dj mixes ever made.

for sure on par with 70 minutes of madness,

rob hall's goodies

surgeon

etc.

the mix of LFO/mira calix/nightmares on wax FLAWLESS

must own.

This disc changed my life, really. I bought it aged 14/15 due to the quirky Jap cover art, but it ended up dragging my into the genre. I tracked down the first edition (yeah, it's cass only) a few months back, and as cheesy as it is sometimes, is still amazing, if more of collector's item.

It's interesting how pretty much everything on both Blech editions sounds so dated, yet Autechre's cuts (and a few Squarepusher tracks, mainly on the first disc) sound so modern and unaffected by time. Not to say the others are not great, but it def puts certain things into perspective.

But yeah, the second edition was my Jesus back in the day.

Jaysus, this delivery can't come quick enough!!! Really cannot wait to hear this.

What's Rob Hall's Goodies? Haven't heard of that one

go HERE and in the middle of the page

are direct links to 12 DJ Rob Hall Mixes that are BRILLIANT!

if you search around the WATMMS you can find the track lists for all of them too.

good stuff.

I bought both Blechs when they first came out and they didn't grab me that much at the time.

Maybe I should listen again now.

The bit where they mix someone discussing philosophy with a sentient bomb (from Dark Star) with B12 or someone is pretty good

Cheers for the heads up. Ordered. I downloaded this years ago but nowhere stocked it. I remember really loving the Mr Scruff remix of Gambia Via Vagator Beach

I listen to this a lot while driving and End's right, Problem Child just punches a hole right through the middle of it, the rest sound dated but still good to listen to in a halcyon childhood sense. Never heard 1, i'll search it today.

Problem Child

Yes, that's it! I couldn't recall the name for some reason. As well as 'I Wish You Could Talk', it's my all-time favourite cut by that bearded tosser.

It's a pretty shitty feeling to realise how "normal" it now seems to me; like, I'll never again be as flat-out amazed and confused by music ever again. Harsh noise, doom metal, zeuhl... mere child's play in context!

This one should be burnt to the ground simply for him putting a Jamie Lidell acapella over Happy Cycling. Also, You can't un-listen so if you haven't, don't :(

The 20.2 one is actually quite good which makes it all the more john maddening
