EKT Moments (tm)

i was looking at my gear, and i had one of those odd moments where things are seen as if they were new.

i said to myself - jesus fucking christ, that's a lot of knobs!

i had one the other day when i got my keyboard out the cupboard plugged it in then put it back 5 minutes later

I finally aquired a Nord Modular (g1) this past week, and was using the editor the other day and suddenly realized that I wasn't using the G2 demo software, and could indeed make polyphonic patches. Then I enjoyed assigning as many morph groups as I wanted and tweaking away on actual knobs instead of mouse tweaking.

Definate ekt moment.

This morning, I woke up feeling horrible, and ended up puking in the trash bin under my desk.

puking, while surrounded by your equipment is not only a definite EKT moment, it's also pretty electronic music!

Similiarly, since I had moved out to SF, I didnt bring my gear with me, while I was getting settled. I finally am, so I just got all my gear last week... it was awesome. I had been holding myself over by using the G2 demo.... so I could finally load up multiple patches on my G2 that I had made on the demo, and assign knobs, and have polyphony.... wooooo!

it would be even more electronic music if u puked on your equipment!

last weekend i recorded a guitar ambient piece while frequently adjusting the volume and tone knobs on my fender mustang, and the delay and reverb knobs on my effects pedals. does that count?

well, that's an EKT moment, i guess, but a rather generic one. it's kind of implied that i'm looking for super-strong, archetypical EKT moments were you're like... damn man, that was a true EKT moment.

Thats the only mic tough enough to go deep in the toilet with Braintree.

It's how I get the right impulse response. Altiverb doesn't have a toilet as a chamber yet.

is there an impulse from a buried coffin available?

or did it sound too dead?
