Guest goodwillsidis
Anybody have any experience (or even know the name of) a decent envelope filter that isn't a guitar pedal? Guest telikan
Waldorf D-Pole http://www.waldorfmusic.de/en/products/d-pole This is the most hardware style one I've seen, and it's Waldorf, so as far as emulation goes it's right up there. most easily bought ($80) or torrented in Waldorf's bundle of plug-ins: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/WaldorfEd I tried Antares Filter, and there's a LOT going on, which makes it kind of overwhelming and unfocused, which I think is why the discontinued it. Nevertheless it's really pro-style. I felt like it wasn't worth it, since if I needed more than Live's Auto-Filter, I'd just use DP's Multimode. The other one I know of is Audiodamage's Dr. Device, which is a envelope filter and delay in one. I really like the way all their filters sound in their other plugs (nice punchy MS-20 style resonance), so I imagine it's pretty nice.
