2 new tracks

apologies for the guitar solos in unt029, i should record better ones but i'm finished with this today and felt like posting :)

eqing advice, severe criticism on production welcome, especially for unt029 on which i worked more. thumbs up welcome too :)

i hate that myspacey sceney 8 bit music shit but this was cool.

I'm afraid I can't say I like the 30 one much at all... I mostly just don't like the tunes.

But 29 is AWESOME, I love how it's real 8 bitty but then it has bits that are kinda fragmented and abstract sounding, like the very end. I like music like this, using videogamey 8 bit aesthetic as only ONE element in the sound, not just recreating it exactly.

and the end of unt029 was good

i'd like to hear more guitar from you

as for unt030, i liked the sound coming in around 1:04

and everything that happened after that

these are criminally short to boast such great ideas

they've got good moments but they've got shit moments too, or good things played in bad rhythm, if that makes sense. i play guitar in most of my recent productions but sometimes it's very low in the mix, or with effects, you can't hear it if you haven't heard it separately sometimes. i want to make more guitar tracks anyway cause that's a simple way to prepare a live setup :P less knob twiddling.

unt030 needs expansion indeed, unt029 is nearly finished, i added chimes and cymbals here and there to help the transitions, it won't be expanded, i like it short, makes me feel like playing it again and again. i like it when songs are too short, like "her majesty" by the beatles. i'm thinking about releasing my short tracks together as a collection of stills.

at first I thought unt029 sounded a bit sparse but turned out good, nice mix in there! It needs to be longer definitely!

I know what you mean, sometimes short songs are awesome! Have you heard Grating Rainbows by Bitbasic (on monotonik)? All of those songs are really short, and as a collection it works really nicely.... so I'd be pretty keen to hear a bunch of shorter songs of yours put together as a little mini album.
