I feel like I should have a myspace page too...trouble with that is...I would have like 2 friends...and that's just not cool.

The main things I dislike about MySpace is the views/plays count... For a lot of people MySpace turns into a popularity contest and they think that more plays/views means something, so they go and spam people with their page and add a bunch of people to it that may or may not even care.

I still use it though, because it's a convenient way to show people my music, and well, these days it actually works relatively well. I like the Facebook music page a lot more though, no play count, no view count (privately there is), and very simple design. Also, people have to join voluntarily, you can't add the people. The only problem with it currently is that you can't change the order of the songs you post up.

what you gots to do with myspace pages is disable your contacts, and maybe even disable comments (but not messages)

then you don't have all that popularity thing going on and it's strictly : THIS IS MY MUSIC

I just spent 15 minutes trying to find out how I can disable comments, but I couldn't find anything... Where is that located?

you only get the "you and i" player from certain countries.

which is odd.

i guess it's do with licensing. it happenss on a few myspace profiles iircnothing to do with warp boc or indeed whoever runs the myspace.

and tamas basically you cant disable it but simply hide it with CSS coding.

to clear this up: the myspace page was taken over by warp some time ago, and is now maintained by both warp staff and a couple of friends of the band, on a 'when time permits' basis. the 'you and i' player on the page is apparently only visible to US users, and was added by myspace themselves. they've been contacted a few times with requests to remove the 'you and i' thing but they've ignored the requests.

I can see it indeed. So in Belgium the player is visible as well.
