Two audio apps running together

Hello

I have an audiophile 24/96 with the standard up-to-date audio drivers installed. everything works handy dandy apart from the fact that I can't fucking run ableton and adobe audition together!

It takes the piss!.. I want to record a one-off rim shot sample from ableton live with massive reverb using adobe audition so I can do some effects over the top of it, but it won't use the same driver at the same time.

Adobe audition has a 'release audio driver in background' feature, but even that doesn't help.

I get adobe audition unselecting the m-audio ASIO driver when ableton live is running in the background.

Any way around?

Dunno if Audition supports ReWire, but that might work for you. Otherwise, erm, just render the one-shot as a wav? Not difficult.

I don't have rewire installed.

asio4all comes with rewire drivers, i run ableton and soundforge 9 at the same time.
