Our new album The Hawk Is Howling is released by PIAS/Wall Of Sound on September 22nd and Matador in America on September 23rd. It is just over 63 minutes long. It was recorded by Andy Miller at Chem 19 in February apart from one song which was recorded by Tony Doogan at Castle Of Doom last summer. It was mixed by Gareth Jones at Castle Of Doom in March and mastered at Abbey Road by Sean Magee in April. The songs on it are:

yeah, mr beast was pretty great. took me a while to get into though.

but yes, i still care. mostly because i only got into post-rock relatively recently (last 3-4 years i guess).

Fuck off with Mr Beast, Every album they did before that is a lot better than Mr Beast. They'll never top Happy Songs in my view

everyone has their favourite. mine is older than yours ergo i win.

the sample track is great. sounds like they had fun with the start. infact the whole track is happyish. maybe just that top guitar.

Nice track, but no mega-snake. Gonna see them live aug 5th. Hoping for some more new stuff then.

I haven't followed Mogwai particularly closely... I've heard about half their albums (listened to Young Team lots) but that song (The Sun Smells Too Loud) is awesome! I like it a lot more than most of what they've done, probably because it's got such a happy, positive vibe, and I'm definitely more into happier sounding music these days.

Mogwai Fear Satan transformed my opinion of post-rock for the better...so I always give a new release by them a chance.

wow... i'm excited about this.

i think the sample track is brilliant, melodically. nothing innovative or groundbreaking, but evocative and well put together. i love that repeating guitar part and how it plays against the chord changes. so simple, but is just what i needed to hear.

have a new album to look forward to! =)

Taking a lot of listens but I think its fantastic, like rocky path says Its bringing me back to them a bit. Mr Beast was a good album but nowhere near Happy Songs Imo

i didnt get into mr beast much when it came out but really got into it recently on further investigation

gonna listen to hawk today when i'm out
