today i decided to order my tickets. i thought it was in august coming up soon and when i went to the mogwai site i saw the 8th and shit myself. "its tonight". 20minutes later after trying to convince my wife she wants to go i realise its next month. so i bought 2 tickets and then realised she'll be in night school then.

duh lol

show was last night. i took some earplugs and glad i did. it wasnt just the loudness it was the bad sound quality. the bass was way too high for a few tracks. dunno if its just the venue or what but the sound was not great last night. but even with that sad i still enjoyed the shw. hadnt seen them before and wanted to for years. so i managed to see them before i lost interest. happy. they played a really mixed set. i alwyas find it hard to place their songs towhich album its from (because they all sound very similar yes) except for happy songs as it used that vocoder thing. they even played a track from cody and finished on batcat which was great. during the quiet pat of one song where you know they are about to go loud some knob shouted 'DO IT' lol. no encore.

i will be seeing them next wednesday night with my bro and some friends. i am going to take earplugs.

anyone been to the 9:30 club in DC? is it any good??

turns out i have an extra ticket to the DC show. anyone in the area want it for 1/2 price??

they were here but the ticket price seemed to high.

was a good show, setlist was great... as was said they are not very animated live so watching them was boring but they sounded great!

they played nearly 2 hours with an encore of x-mas steps and my father my king. i brought earplugs but didnt use them. i found explosions in the sky to be much louder, but this may have been because both times i saw them play it was in a tiny bar with only ~30 other people.

I'm sure anyone who intended to go to any of the remaining dates or the European dates will know by now but just incase, the rest of their dates have been cancelled due to Martin's heart condition. Can find out more on Mogwai.co.uk
