I've lived down the road from Glossop all my life but've only just noticed this.

They often name their tracks after something, which is a town in some cases, like Montreal and Sudden.

Liccflii is just a short drive from here.

bad vilbel is actually a valley somewhere in germany. i think they named the city too... i don't recall exaclty where but somewhere between Stuttgart and Munchen...

My favourite AE track... bloody wished they'd make more like it these days.

I've noticed vibert, aphex and the pusher all like using locations as titles, didn't know autechre were at it.

This is one of my least favorite AE tracks, I never understood the appeal.

Yeah, that's somewhat a poor track... Amon Tobin played Second Bad Vilbel fucking loud at his show last summer and that was insane, though. It depends on how loud you listen to this track, imo. Autechre even said somewhere they were disappointed by the music video, am I right?

I don't recall them not liking it, since Chris C. made it for them...

...or was it perhaps Chris Cunningham who wasn't proud of it? I think I read this in the booklet from the Chris Cunningham DVD or something.

I think you're right, I'm pretty sure I remember reading that Sean and Rob were less than thrilled with the video.

While we're on the subject of this video, I recently found a book lying around with a "Make your own 3-D glasses" feature. After using said glasses to watch the video, I can confirm that it does NOT improve the video.
