WATMM Monthly Remix Competition -> Voting

May I present the entries for Round 1 of the WATMM Monthly Remix Competition

(For the story up till now, see this thread)

Our source track was 'Walking on the Moon' by The Police, chosen by our esteemed host, Mr Joyrex.

We have 7 entries, which for the purposes of the poll have been anonymised:

Please listen to the tracks, maybe copy them to your MP3 player, chill with them for a bit, listen to them in the car, on the bus. Then cast your vote. How you vote is up to you, but perhaps, apart from just the general craftsmanship and pwnage of the track, you might also consider taking into account the amount of creativity in the use of the source material.

This poll will run for 1 week, until 23:00 GMT on Thursday 14th August.

Then the winner will be un-masked, and they will choose the source track for Round 2. Hence Round 2 will probably start on Friday 15th or maybe Saturday 16th, and then everyone will have 4 weeks to get creative with a new source track.

Yes it really is a very profound musical statement

I like AnonG cause its similar to what I had in mind but failed to do.

and cus it's the only proper tune/remix.

Fuck the second one is really nice!

its weird in a situation like this, where you see your track has less than half the downloads of other tracks. it really makes you wonder how people decided they didn't like the track before they had even heard it.

If i hadnt used up my vote i would of voted for ur's :) but i did download

there are 18 votes, and the least any track has been downloaded is 14 times, so yes, perhaps your track was not downloaded 4 times when someone voted. if people arent voting for it, its because they dont like it, im assuming atleast 4 people knew what track was theres and voted for their own without downloading.

well it was 11 at the time of my post. and there haven't been any additional votes since then. I knew the people who had heard it and hadn't voted for it didn't like it, of course. but I was more curious what made the 7 people who didn't download it not like it.

I dont think there is enough people really interested in this thread for it to be taken seriously, but we hav to see by thurs. Also dont forget theres a zip there, that might count for no downloads.

I stream all my MP3s with Quicktime so I've downloaded #2 at least 5 or 6 times cause I keep coming back to it
