WATMM Monthly Remix Competition -> Round 2

The winner of Round 1 was Lights Set North! Congratulations!

Here's details of the other entries from Round 1:

The source track for round 2 (as chosen by the winner of round 1) is:

'Roll Plymouth Rock' by Brian Wilson

This is from the legendary album Smile, and its available all over the place. For example you can download a non-DRM mp3 from 7-Digital for 79p.

Here's a little recap of our Simple Rules:

Simple Rules:

- its a remix competition

- we're taking remix in the very broadest sense of the word

- voting will be anonymous

- we can do it with threads and polls and PMs, for now. Maybe we'll build a site later.

- winner of each round gets to choose the source track for the next round

- rounds will take 4 weeks for submitting, then 1 or 2 weeks for voting

So round 2 starts now!

If you want to submit a track, please PM it to me (or email to mail@koanotic.org) by 23:00 GMT on Friday 12th September.

After that we will have 1 week of voting, and then on to round 3 ...

PS: Some of you may have noticed that this Monthly Remix Competition doesn't actually fit into Months properly. Lets not worry about that for now.

i can't say im totally surprised that monolith made the second to last track. its a really good one worthy of some tussn'

yeah i finally got round to playing the others tonight and monolith wins by a mile. (after wanking on the moon of course).

lol there was a few great tracks, I see why Monoliths got so many votes, I liked it as a song but not so much as a remix. It had a lot of polish though which is always nice.

by the way I was totally going to pick Gloria Estefan & The Miami Sound Machine - Rhythm Is Gonna Get You, but chickened out.

Those of you who are thinking of submitting a remix, if you feel like PMing me to let me know then that would be useful.

(If I have a rough idea of how many people are submitting then I can plan ahead a bit)
