Looking For Professional Audio Editor...

something like audacity but not free. im looking for the best one out there, top grade

I personally use Cool Edit Pro, it works great.

It's called Adobe Audition now I believe, but personally I like Cool Edit Pro better.

personally i use soundforge still. an old version, have never upgraded it. but i mainly use it for recording and chopping not the effects

adobe audition is all you need

I still use cool edit 2.1 cause it does everything I need it to do. If you're looking for recently released software, then maybe look into soundforge or wavelab.

goldwave looks like shit but sounds great and endures as my favourite editor

Sound Forge 4.5 is a nice quick'n'dirty editor.. Solid as a rock. Sadly doesn't support 24-bit files, but I find it to be just the thing for chopping samples.
