Guest joshier
Just recent discovery... I've had same infinity speakers in my car for the past 6 months and been getting into them a lot more, there really is nothing like a sound pounding you and feeling it through your whole body. I'm not into subwoofers, unless they are subtle, but these 6x9's are lovely. The point I'm making is, whilst I produce in headphones, the sound and experience is nothing to what is compared with good speakers.. So, I'll explain why I'm feeling so strong about this. I've got some decent 'phones, (sennheiser) bought em for £120, they are brilliant. Thing is, I've been listening to a lot of NiN recently, some of the guys tracks are remixed and whatnot, but the point is, I love a certain track because of a kick, it's a brilliant kick and it's just basically has a lot of body to it and it sounds great. I came back, and having heard it i chopped it out in my sequencer and... what do i not hear?. the power, the awesome mastering of the kick in all the spectrum, especially the lower end. What a let down! -- if you cant be assed to read all that, basically, speakers you can feel, headphones you can never. that may be obvious to you, but I've never really realized it so much until now. azatoth
i heard it's not good to produce with headphones. is that true. fucks up the low end. also listening to a track on a nice system loud is nice, but for intense listening i prefer headphones.
