It really doesn't matter: it's a matter of personal taste. Orientated is currently preferred use in general British use. Oriented is prevalent in technical use, and in the US.

More likely just satisfying their creative endeavours at the moment more than anything else, plus probably a paying gig. I doubt something like this would impact them working on their own material that much.

BoC have really cool production techniques, and I would actually like to see them work/collaborate with more bands.
