ReWiring max into cubase

I'm pretty clueless about this kind of stuff (i only discovered the existence of ReWire about an hour ago) but i basically want to use a little patch i've made in max to play various synths on different channels in cubase. I thought i'd found the answer here: http://www.cycling74.com/forums/index.php?...1fd7ee202a79159

 

but it doesn't seem to work. When it says "define max/msp "entry" path from devices menu" does that simply mean click on a max/msp tab because in that case there isn't one. Theres one for ableton which i also happen to have installed but thats not much use? Maybe i have a version of max from before reWire was invented?

 

Any ideas?
