Guest mr snake
In 2005 I did a gig at 93 Feet East. It was weird, a load of people from my past were there. An ex-girlfriend that had cheated on me and broken my heart, people I used to be friends with that blanked me. I freaked out and drove back to Sheffield at 2am. At home, wired on redbull and maize-based snacks, I couldn't sleep and sat down at the computer and wrote a tune. The next afternoon, I got heroically drunk and remembered that I had a clarinet knocking about that I used to be able to play. Drinking whiskey and a bit stoned to boot, I put down a clarinet solo. To this day, I still don't know how to produce the notes I got at the end. After many different mixes and performances, this is the definitive version. Released today as a digital single, it's backed with an Echaskech remix of Nothing Left to Say and a 65daysofstatic remix of Ana Kata, both originally from the album Save Your Light for Darker Days (Just Music TAO24, available now). http://www.7digital.com/artists/digitonal/93-years-on/ £1.79 for 16mins of quality music. enjoy.
