Buzz in me sub

My sub recently developed a loud buzz, what is it, why dont my other monitors do it and can i sort it?

Dented/torn cone? Bad XLR (cable shielding exposed - check the cable)?

60hz loop? Check your cables. Might want to make sure they're balanced.

also, stupid question, but is there anything on top/near/around that could be vibrating sympathetically? sometimes paper or something will make a similar sound during lo frequency rinseouts.

Any new electrical devices near by,or change of placement of ur sub lead? The lead also has to be fully screened and the screen needs to be connected at both ends.

Well it didn't used to do it and i haven't changed the cables, and hadn't changed my set up when it first started doing it. One day it just picked up a constant buzz. It's not really a problem, it doesnt affect it's playback but its sodding annoying when no sound is coming out. Praise the lord for the bypass switch...
