Italian TV

Recommended Posts

I'm watching La Prova del Cuoco and right now they're talking about all sorts of bread... it's amazing.

Bless you, Silvio Berlusconi for giving us RaiUno and Canale 5...

i've never put rai uno on, i suppose i will now

Oh yeah! Every once in a while they start dancing and singing on that La Prova del Cuoco show...

Plus, they add sound effects to the cooking. How amazing is that!?

Jesus, the camera work on some of those shows is shameless.

Nuh-uh!

I'll take your Nuh-uh, and raise you an Uh-huh.

The camera work is not necessarily a bad thing, but shameless nonetheless.

I always despised the TV when I was in Italy. Apart from all the shows they have like three different dubbing artists for everything. Like a normal woman, a normal dude and another woman who speaks all the squeaky children's tv characters like pinocchio but is also in the various 1950's black and white movies that are on on most of the channels all day.

And the tv-watching-habits of Italians! They're having dinner and the tv is on IN ANOTHER ROOM and you think noone pays attention but then suddenly everyone at the table bursts out in laughter right in the middle of a senctence as reaction to one of the jokes in the show you long ago ignored as background-noise!

Memories...

I've grown fond of turning on my TV and switch the channel to RaiUno while I'm on WATMM or something else. It sort of calms me down.
