best bass synth for under $200?

I need some hands on bass goodness! what do you guys recommend?

I didn't know one existed. The A Station is about the cheapest bass synth I can think of but I don't know if they produce them anymore. Electronic music equipment is way cheaper in the States though so I guess you could probably get something for sub $200.

If yo're going to get one of those you may as well splash out and get the K-station which I think is exactly the same except in keyboard form... I have one and it's fucking class!

i'd second the a-station (or b-station).

both are shite cheap at moment if you can still find one.

k-station is just over your budget at about 250 quid sterling.

the polyvoks is amazing for bass sounds but it's not very affordable sorry!

the firstman is well worth a look though!

well not really once you get the right schematics and a friend who is fluent in russian of course (you gotta make contacts mate, thats what the internet is for!)

i got the voks a loong time ago and its still brilliant, i often hook it up with my ms20 and filter the bass with a slight overdrive

it just sounds like heaven!!

Yeah, I know. I just made a simple overlay using a large piece of paper and a pen for mine, works like a charm, but looks like a dog. HAHAHA.

But yeah, the filters on it are amazing, really screaming innit?

he kind of has a point.

forgot waldorf's are going for fresh air since they went bust.

yeah... sucks that they don't have warranty and do repairs anymore... however, there are some places in germany where you can have your waldorf synth repaired (stadler-electro and others)..

but still, a waldorf Pulse is 100x better than novation's budget synths.

you'll find them for 225-250$

and you'll have a Waldorf Pulse+ for 300$
