Mellow U
So Mr. John-Paul Kramer (Casio Commander, Pizgah, founder of Metanoia Media) paid a visit to Milieu Music HQ in August, and during what became one of the most exhausting weeks of my life, we recorded nearly 2 hours of improvisations. We used everything but a computer to make this record...guitars, bass, organ, keyboard, turntable and turntable receiver, drum machines and all manner of unorthodox sound sources, all straight to tape. I made a point to not listen to the material at all until about 2 and a half weeks later, so I could have a fresh outlook on what we did, and when I came back to it, it seemed to have developed a mind of its own. I'm particularly fond of this record because it constantly evolves in ways that I don't think you can get outside of improvising, so in my opinion it has a lot of character. For folks who liked my "Autumn Soil Feedback" album, "Porous Variations", or even my "Porch" split with Ophibre, you'd most likely enjoy this! Limited to 100 copies. Guest glasse
hi, i am the love. i am really enjoying this, it is quality. it is certainly is active enough to keep interest but still mediative & hypnotic. the textures are blended well and makes a very nice space. i'm not sure what if any editing you did, but for improvised material it all seems very controlled & purposeful. thumbs up Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/39232-brian-grainger-milieu-and-john-paul-kramer/#findComment-888725 Share on other sites
