Whats the idea behind this comp then?

im asking artists who dont normally make dubstep to send in a submission of their take on the genre

The comp name is a bit negative though i reckon, are you trying to say all dubstep producers are talentless then?

obviously its supposed to be a reference to radiohead song 'Anyone Can Play Guitar'

it stems from a certain online radio show, where every dubstep producer is a 'talented' producer

and i want to prove that anyone, even if their heart isnt in it, can make it, and make it sound good.

maybe i will put together a whole series of these with different genres.....

you think i should change the name??

Nah its ok mate, im not up on my radiohead so i didnt get the reference. As long as its a bit of fun then why not, but making music that you don't like just to make a point about the people that DO make it is pretty cuntish i reckon. Plus i can't help but think that the outcome will prove the opposite of what you want it to.

I love loads of dubstep anyway, havent attempted to make anything like it for a while so ill definitely give it a shot

Yeah I'm busy making a track and I was intending it to sound all corny and typical dubstep, but it's gonna turn out something I actually like and has a personal touch to it, not necessarily typical to the dubstep genre.

nah its just a bit of fun, its not a dig at the dubstep community, i am partial to dubstep/uk bass

im intrigued by the idea of artists working on specific genres being taken out of their bubbles and experimenting with new things

thats why i kinda want to try it with different genres as well

i imagine this is the sort of thing i would end up making if i were to make some "dubstep" or something

the artist name is the only thing i like about it though
