This is actually a revival of a question I asked on here back in about 2003 but I never got an answer:

I'd totally forgotten about this ace track until a few minutes ago. Question is, are there any artists that make music similar to the first (and in my opinion by far the best) 3 mins 25 of the track.

It sounds very 80s French sounding. Like Jean Michelle Jarre sans cheese, but there must be someone who makes massive emotional synth-ness like this ?

Oh my, no m83 for me please ! They were good for approximately 1/3 of an album. Words can't describe quite a bad they've become of late.

This is a wonderful piece of work. It almost sounds like it is reversed.
